Nikki's creative journey has been uniquely influenced by her life experiences. She has been immersed in the arts for her entire life.  Living in Washington, D.C., she has studied art at numerous  galleries from the Corcoran, Walters, National Gallery of Art, Phillips Collections to the Smithsonian. Majoring in Fine Arts at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) taught Nikki to approach to fashion conceptually. Her decision to transition to use eco-friendly materials to design her fashions and set designs, was the result of by years of research. MICA's progressive curriculum included eco-friendly and sustainable textile practices. Nikki has continued her research and as new innovations are made towards these practices.
